ELIGIBILITY: Graduating high school seniors of Kansas, who plan to attend a four-year program or a two-year program with the intention of transferring to a university or college majoring in agriculture in the state of Kansas. Must have been 4 year member of the Kansas FFA Association. Preference will be given to those applicants who have a keen interest in the family farm and its importance to society. In addition, the applicants should have demonstrated outstanding leadership, community service, exhibits good character and moral traits, and have excelled scholastically during four years of high school. Financial needs will be a factor in the selection process only when qualification of two or more applicants is considered equal or similar. The selection committee will consider the general areas of Orscheln Farm & Home Stores when making their selections.
AWARD: Eight scholarships at $1,000 each, non-renewable. The scholarship will be paid in two equal installments of $500 at the beginning of the fall semester and $500 at the beginning of the spring semester, which will depend on satisfactory scholastic performance.
