Mid-America Grassland Evaluation Contest

The 2014 contest is scheduled for June 3-4, and will be held in Springfield, MO. The first Mid-America Contest was held in 2000 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Since that time the contest has grown and the 2013 contest had 25 teams participating from AR, OH, MO, IN and WV.

There is a registration fee of $100.00 for each team. A check should be made payable to: Missouri Forage and Grassland Council (MFGC), and mailed to Natural Resources Conservation Service, Attn: Tammy Scheets, 6726-C Highway 63, Houston, MO 65483. If you have any questions, you may call Tammy at 417-967-2028 ext. 128. The fee should accompany the registration form and will cover (2) lunches and awards banquet for four team members and coach. Additional people that will be attending also need to pre-register at $25.00 each, by filling out the lower portion of the registration form. This is to ensure adequate meals will be available. Take time and make sure that the registration form is filled out completely, (TYPED), and signed by the coach and/or appropriate State Advisor, and that the payment is attached. Name tags and certificates will be printed, using the names that are on the registration information. Registration deadline is May 15, 2014. Notice on the information sheet that the motel reservations need to be made by May 15, 2014 to guarantee this rate.
