2014 K-State Animal Sciences Leadership Academy

The 2014 K-State Animal Sciences Leadership Academy (KASLA) will be held June 11-14 in Manhattan, KS. The KASLA is designed to educate youth about the livestock industry through an engaging summer experience hosted by K-State Animal Sciences and Industry. The goal of this academy will be to further develop young leaders within the livestock industry and prepare them for a successful future in this field. Twenty high school students will be selected to participate via an application process. The program is open to out-of-state students.

A detailed brochure and a pdf of the application is located on the program website, www.YouthLivestock.KSU.edu or http://www.asi.k-state.edu/students-and-programs/youth-programs/k-state-animal-science-leadership-academy/. The applications must be submitted via email to clowers@ksu.edu by 11:59pm on March 15.

Please distribute this information to those youth in your area that are qualified. It is a tremendous opportunity and I cannot wait to start viewing applications of youth across Kansas. If you have any questions, please email clowers@ksu.edu.
