2014 FFA Alumni Regional Development Events Announced
National FFA Alumni is bringing professional, personal and FFA Alumni development to the masses! Knowing that not everyone can attend our annual national events, we’re hitting the road to host regional development days. These events are meant to engage individual members, local FFA Alumni leaders, State FFA Alumni leaders, agricultural educators and others involved with agricultural education. Event format allows for networking and socializing with fellow FFA Alumni, idea sharing and collecting feedback to address obstacles, learning and training in areas of advocacy, leadership, affiliate business operations and more! Check to see if there’s an Regional Development Event happening within driving distance of your home! The first FFA Alumni Regional Development Event will be taking place in Kansas City, Missouri at the American Royal Complex on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Agenda and registration information for the March 1st event will be online soon!
42nd National FFA Alumni Convention
2013 took us back to Louisville and provided a setting for an exceptional year! We were able to recognize outstanding FFA Alumni members, affiliates and state associations for their service and accomplishments. The FFA Alumni live benefit auction generated $60,500 that will be awarded to state and local FFA Alumni affiliates for their 2013 membership achievements. The annual business meeting included a standing ovation for outgoing executive director, Julie Tesch and the election of three individuals to represent the membership on the National FFA Alumni Council.

Inaugural FFA Link Insights event conducted in Louisville
FFA Link is an exclusive group of college students and young professionals connecting their love of agriculture with real world career skills. Over the past year we’ve been promoting FFA Link participation to graduating seniors and young adults up to five years out of high school. The 86th National FFA Convention & Expo offered the perfect venue to bring people together for one of our first FFA Link Insights events. This event featured a look at the future of the agricultural implement industry and provided a panel of professionals for students to ask questions regarding educational pursuits, career opportunities and more! You can watch the session online. Be sure to let graduating or recently graduated FFA members know about this opportunity to stay connected to FFA and build upon career success!
