2014 FFA Scholarship Application Additional Teacher Information

The 2014 Scholarship Application live.

Students will again access the application through the Agricultural Career Network (AgCN).  FFA members will create AgCN accounts using information from invitations generated by their FFA advisors.  Students who already have AgCN accounts do not need an invitation.  Students will “SIGN IN” to AgCN, then click the “National Scholarships” menu button to access the application.

Reminder:  Under no circumstances should an FFA member EVER create an account as a Community Member.  “Community” is for non-member use only and sends students to the non-member applicationFFA members submitting a “non-member” application will NOT qualify for scholarships with membership criteria.  (Submitting more than one application is grounds for disqualification.)

Advisors obtain AgCN login information from state staff.  Advisors enter their chapter roster in AgCN by selecting a renewal type for each member.  Clicking the “Print/Reprint invitations” link on the “Active” membership page generates invitations to locally approved active members.  Allowing students access to the FFA application by any means other than renewing their membership to a renewal type of one, three or four year may result in the application being Disqualified.

Membership status will be checked before judging begins.  National FFA will not contact states during judging to confirm status.  Only students with a current, active membership status will be eligible to compete for scholarships.  The deadline to ensure active membership is March 1, 2014

New this year, America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders scholarships (presented by Monsanto) require applicants to obtain three electronic farmer endorsements.  This is a pilot program covering specific states and counties.  See details at FFA.org/scholarships (click the America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders logo) or visit GrowAgLeaders.com.

The 2014 online application must be submitted prior to 5:00 p.m. EST Feb. 1, 2014.

Signature Pages must be mailed postmarked no later than Feb. 8, 2014.

Please direct AgCN and/or membership questions to 317-802-6060.  Email scholarship questions to Scholarships@ffa.org.
