Ag Career Network (AgCN) and Updates

The Ag Career Network has several enhancements you may have already noticed. Access to CareerCruising.com and AgCareers.com will continue, providing support for career development and opportunities for our members, agricultural education instructors, alumni and supporters.

If you haven’t had time to log in, here is a list of updates/improvements that the AgCN:

  1. Discover Ag Careers
    1. Explore – link to Career Cruising
    2. Build – Help students build resumes, cover letters and access agricultural industry HR professionals to enhance their future
    3. Apply – Review and apply for up to minute internships and jobs
  2. Career Cruising
    1. Launch of Inspire Ag Careers – where students can connect with career coaches in their local and national communities (showcased at summer conferences)
    2. Teacher resources – New videos released
  3. Updated the Roster Add / Renew
    1. ‘Smart Buttons’ – these will allow teacher to see at a glance total students on the roster or needing to pushed to state membership level
    2. Viewable roster increased to 50 student list from the former 15 student list
    3. Improved roster reports have been added
  4. Roles function now allow teachers to view multiple chapters, alumni rosters, etc. with one log on by selecting desired role
  5. Now includes a ‘Degree / Application Manager’ from which you may…
    1. Complete 2013 SAE Grant Applications and 2014 American FFA Degrees
    2. Includes a Program of Activities (POA) tool available to all instructors to assist and record all activities
