Changing Seasons: New Executive Director Joins the Kansas FFA Foundation

Kerry Wefald has joined the Kansas FFA Foundation and will serve as the group's new Executive Director. Wefald has a solid history with the Kansas FFA Association. She was an active member with the Prairie View FFA Chapter, served as an East Central District Officer, and was slated for state office. Wefald also earned her State FFA Degree in 1994.

"I am humbled by the opportunity to step in and lead the Kansas FFA Foundation as executive director," Wefald said. "I am thankful for our donors and look forward to meeting the many supporters of agriculture education throughout our great state and beyond."

Wefald brings a variety of business and volunteer experiences to the position. Prior to joining the Foundation, Wefald was a product manager for Pepsi Cola in Manhattan. Her early experiences include working in vendor compliance and training and development at the Neiman Marcus National Service Center in Longview, Tex.

She has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Riley County, Junior League of the Flint Hills, Kappa Kappa Gamma House Board, and also as a committee member of the south central region for the Kansas State University Foundation Changing Lives Campaign.

Wefald holds a BS in Agricultural Communications and Journalism and MS in Adult, Occupational and Continuing Education from Kansas State University.
