Toyota Donates Tundra to Kansas FFA

Auto Maker Builds on National Support of FFA with New Donation to Kansas FFA Foundation

MANHATTAN, KAN. (May 15, 2008) - Continuing to build on its approximately $1.4 million commitment to the National FFA Foundation, Toyota recently announced the donation of a 2008 Toyota Tundra to the Kansas FFA Foundation. The truck will travel across the state with the state FFA officers and foundation to numerous visits to high school chapters, chapter and district banquets, career development events and leadership conferences.

Bethany Bohnenblust, State FFA President, accepts the keys to the Toyota Tundra donated to the Kansas FFA Foundation.

"We are delighted to offer support at the state level to an organization that truly develops leadership and excellence in today's youth," said Charles Hancock, district manager, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. "The Kansas FFA Association provides students across the state with opportunities to develop the skills they need to succeed, and we're excited to play a role in that effort."

The donated Toyota Tundra will be easy to spot on the state's roads and highways as it features specially designed graphics, including the well-recognized FFA emblem. The truck will provide transportation for the Kansas FFA officers and Kansas FFA Foundation as they visit FFA members and agribusinesses across the state.

The truck was presented to the Kansas FFA Foundation in Wichita, Kan., on April 18, 2008 by Hancock and Brett Parham, truck champion/sales manager for Toyota.

"The support Toyota has offered the FFA on a national and a state level demonstrates their commitment to agriculture and the success of today's youth," said John Niemann, chair of the Kansas FFA Foundation Board of Trustees and vice president, beef pricing, sales and business management for Cargill Meat Solutions.
