The Prairie View FFA began in 1969 when the community schools of LaCygne, Parker, and Fontana unified. Since that time the FFA tradition has continued to grow with an average of 120 members each year and two teachers. Students are able to partake in many avenues of agriculture with pathways in Power and Structure, Plant Science, and Animal Science. Our agriculture education program strives to provide many opportunities for students to excel in the classroom and in FFA. Each year we participate in Career Development Events such as Livestock Evaluation, Poultry, Agri-business, Dairy Cattle, Dairy Products, Land Judging, Meats Evaluation, Speech, Horse Evaluation, Food Science, Ag mechanics, Job Interview, and Floriculture. We also travel to several leadership events each year the National FFA Convention, National Western Stock Show, and State FFA convention.
