Aiken has space for young family

This single level home with its clean lines would be ideal for a first time homeowner or for the empty nester. The Aiken (D6750) has a contemporary ranch look with a covered porch. Another feature that helps in the new era of narrow, deep lots is that this home is only 34 feet 8 inches wide.

Convenience is the word of the day with the Aiken. A guest comes into the great room, large and open for entertaining. It has a fireplace on the right side. It has two large windows that overlook the front yard and street. On the back wall is the stairs to the unfinished basement. This is an area for further expansion as it has 1,311 square feet also.

The kitchen is to the left of the front door and is "L" shaped, with a center island for extra counter space. The dining room is to the left of the kitchen and has large windows bathing the room in light. Between the dining room and the two-car garage is the utility.

The rear of the Aiken is sleeping area. There are two bedrooms on the left side, each with a wall closet and their own large windows. Straight across the hall is a full bath with a tub and a linen closet.

The master suite is in the right rear corner and is quite spacious. Through a large open archway is the walk-in closet on the left and the bath with a tub on the right. Dual sinks are between the two rooms, easily accessible. It makes it nice when one needs to take a bath and the other one wants to brush their teeth. They do not interfere with each other.

This is a cozy, well laid out home with many amenities. It would be ideal for a young family as the bedrooms are close to the master suite.
