There's no snow on the ground, no lights strung up on the porch eaves or cheery wreath hung on the door. And yet, for Lynn and Karla Davignon, the rush of the holiday season is already being felt around their farm near Ellis, Kan.
It's a clear and crisp November morning, and for a Christmas tree farm like Prairie Dell Pines, there's not a lot of time to be wasted. In the space of a five-week holiday season they'll harvest years of work.
