VERTICAL TILLAGE—The new Great Plains 3500 Turbo-Max and 4000 Turbo-Max offer the benefits of spring vertical tillage with more residue-managing characteristics for the fall. Like smaller counterparts, these 35- and 40-foot units have two coulter gangs with 7.5-inch spacing between each blade. The rear gangs offset the front gangs, splitting blade spacing to 3.75 inches. This improves the sizing of the residue for one-pass perfections. For more information, call a local dealer, or visit www.greatplainsmfg.com.

ONLINE CALCULATOR—Lindsay Corporation, maker of Zimmatic irrigation systems, now offers an online calculator to determine the return on investment of installing a custom corner pivot irrigation system. It calculates the upfront investment of Zimmatic by Lindsay’s 9500CC Customer Corner with GPS Corner Guidance as well as the fuel or electricity cost, the annual revenue increase, and years to break-even for investment. It can evaluate the investment across various crops and account for yield and commodity pricing scenarios. For more information, call a local dealer, or visit www.Zimmatic9500CC.com.

VERSATILITY—Fendt, a brand of AGCO, introduces the Fendt 700 Series tractors, for row crop, transport and loader-tractor performance. Each of the six new models range from 110 to 195 PTO hp and are powered by Deutz 6.06-liter, six-cylinder turbocharged engines. They are rated with a maximum rear lift capacity of 21,120 pounds and offer 22 equipment connections—including six rear and two front double-acting hydraulic valves, front and rear three-point hitches and full ISOBUS connection. For more information, call a local dealer, or visit www.fendt.com/us.

Liquid fertilizers boost corn yields

Nutra-Flo Company announces the newest addition to the PureGrade product line of low-salt liquid fertilizers, RoMax7. RoMax7, a corn-starter bundle, contains a special blend of seven nutrients, (7-17-3) nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium, plus chelated micronutrients zinc, manganese, copper, and iron. Like all PureGrade products, RoMax7 can be safely used in close proximity to the seed, roots, and foliage for better fertilizer efficiency. RoMax7 also contains RGS, Nutra-Flo's zinc ammine acetate.

RoMax7 helps prevent micronutrient deficiencies. Essential crop functions are dependent on complex interactions between NPK and micronutrients.

RoMax7 delivers the same features found in all PureGrade Liquid Starter Fertilizers. The result is a more efficient use of valuable nutrients and higher yields. Crops that respond to RoMax7 include: corn, soybeans, canola, cotton, wheat, and sorghum.

Additionally RoMax7 with RGS is useful for zinc deficient soils, one of the most common micronutrient deficiencies. Zinc ammine acetate products like RGS have been proven in field trials on millions of acres to increase root mass and improve yields. RGS can stimulate vigorous root growth, help intercept more nutrients and can stimulate deeper root growth to access more subsoil moisture and penetrate compacted soils.

PureGrade Liquid Fertilizers are a line of low-salt, chloride-free liquid fertilizer grades that are high in orthophosphates and can be safety used in close proximity to the seeds, roots and foliage for better fertilizer efficiency. Gold Start is a low-salt fertilizer high in orthophosphates that can be safely banded in-furrow during planting or foliar applied. Diamond is a low-salt fertilizer that is 100% orthophosphate. PureGrade Foliars are a wide range of slow release nitrogen, N-P-K fertilizers and micronutrient blended foliar applied products to meet nearly any crop nutrient need.
