HELP IN THE FIELD—Vermeer Corporation now includes 2D code decals—QR codes—on its Rebel 20 Series Balers. Using a smartphone or tablet computer, users can scan the decals and watch product demonstration videos for helpful step-by-step tips. The 2D codes will be located near the product feature on Rebel balers. It will connect operators to real time videos that show how to properly thread netwrap or twine through the baler. Customers without smartphones or tablets can view the demonstrations via www.vermeer.com. For more information, call a local Vermeer retailer, or visit www.vermeer.com.
HYDRAULIC PUMP—Schweisser Doors now offers the Red Power hydraulic pump system.
This new pump goes on all of Schweiss hydraulic doors and is made at the factory. It is a compact unit and can be mounted on a wall, top-hung, floor or back room. It uses a LEESON motor and has a safety
advantage system to allow the door to lock up and down and safely lower the door in an emergency from the ground level. For more information, call 800-746-8273, or visit www.schweissdoors.com.
TREE CUTTING—DR Power Equipment unveiled the DR TreeChopper, an ATV-mounted tree cutting tool. Made of durable professional-grade steel, it mounts securely to the front of most ATVs and cuts trees up to 4 inches thick. It requires no external power source or stopping and waiting for hydraulic jaws to open and close around the tree. Forward fixed blades on each side of the device score the trunk and guide the tree toward circular rotating blades in teh center. As the ATV accelerates through the trunk, the blades cut cleanly from each side and its trailing blade shears off the stump smoothly from the back. The stump is left no more than one-quarter-inch high. For more information, call a local dealer or 802-877-1200, or visit www.drpower.com.
WATER PUMP—Advanced Power Inc., offers the RanchPump series of solar water pumps. It offers many features. Its efficiency requires less solar power to run, thus saving the consumer money. For more information, call 866-519-7892, or visit www.solarpumps.com.
