CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS—Hypro’s new 9307 Series Centrifugal Pumps with ForceField Seal Technology will protect against harsh chemical and application environments. It automatically adjusts seal chamber pressures for mechanical seal life in all conditions. It handles high volume spraying applications at increased field speeds, so applicators can spray more acres faster. For more information, call 800-424-9776, or visit www.hypropumps.com.

DOWN PRESSURE CONTROL—The 2013 RFX Hydraulic Planter Down Pressure System from Dawn Equipment Company gives an exact measure of force in fluctuating soil conditions, for control over the down pressure of a planter row unit and increased accuracy for seed depth. It uses a larger hydraulic mechanism for a wider pressure range for consistent depth of seed placement per square meter despite varying soil conditions. It features a new flexible mounting system for Deere, Kinze, and CNH planter row units. For more information, call 815-899-8000 or visit www.dawnequipment.com.

ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOW METER—Siemens introduces the Sitrans FM MAG 8000 for Irrigation, a battery-operated electromagnetic flow meter for cost-efficient water metering. It combines the Siemens MAG 8000 transmitter with a specialized sensor to ensure the management of water resources to prevent water loss and waste. The unit maintains a measurement accuracy rate of 0.8 percent. With no moving parts, the meter is not prone to typical wear. Mobile app uses data to compare turf fertilizers

Agrium Advanced Technologies (AAT) announced the launch of the Square Foot Advantage calculator, an easy-to-use mobile-ready application designed to compare real-world data and the total cost-in-use of controlled-release fertilizers Driven By Duration versus ordinary or conventional fertilizers for turf.

Housed at www.drivenbyduration.com, AAT's Square Foot Advantage calculator compares variables including square footage, the number of times an area is fertilized each year, and the overhead cost (including product and labor rates) to determine the total cost-in-use of fertilization, both by square foot and by total area fertilized.

The calculator then goes a step further, comparing the same data with the cost and spread frequency of the same area using Spread it & Forget it, or Duration CR controlled-release fertilizers.

Compared to traditional fertilizers, controlled-release products can allow the typical turf professional to make fewer applications in a season, leaving crews more time to complete other tasks. Additionally, the same crews can perform more services for more customers on more properties, making them more productive, and more profitable.

Installing rubber flooring in trailers

Mid-Plains Equipment, Kearney, Neb., has been installing rubber flooring in aluminum stock and horse trailers for the past year. This new flooring material is not a rubber mat. Instead the W.E.R.M (We Eliminate Rubber Mats) is applied at one-half inch thick on the floor.

Customers report the trailers are much quieter, cattle handle much better, load easier, and there is a lot less slippage. The material can be installed in new and used trailers and is much better if it is a flat floor.

For more information, call 877-654-2553 or visit www.midplainsonline.com.
