Westhaven Court's lines give it curb appeal

One reason the Westhaven Court (D9228) is so eye-catching is the use of vertical and horizontal lines in contrast to each other. The siding is running horizontally (except for a small portion on the second floor) and the shutters are running vertically. It instantly catches the eye of the viewer.

This home has 1,678 square feet of living space with the option of adding a full basement for about the same square footage. This could potentially make this home quite large and roomy. As it is, it has some very unique features for the homeowner.

A gallery foyer is a very different look. Pictures hanging on the walls for visitors to view add a great touch to the entry. On the right of the foyer are two bedrooms and a full bath with a tub. The corner bedroom has a walk-in closet with a window facing the front yard. This bedroom also has a cathedral ceiling. Bedroom three also has a walk-in closet and two large windows.

The kitchen and nook are in the right rear of the home. The kitchen has a unique 'open arm' angle facing the great room. There is an island that has the dual sinks, a recycling center and the eating bar. The nook area is large with transom windows and a door that opens out to the backyard. Just beyond the kitchen to the right is the utility room with a sink and washer/dryer.

The great room is very special because of the ceiling and its shape. The ceiling is 14-feet and coffered. There are bay windows in the rear and a wood stove in the front corner.

Transom windows with a 10-foot ceiling add to the great qualities of the master suite. The master bath has 'his and her' sinks with a tub and elongated walk-in closet. Just outside the door to the suite is a large linen closet.

This home with its many angles and shapes would make an ideal home for the retired couple looking for that special home to enjoy.
