Two Blue has excellent use of space

Duplexes are becoming more popular as they provide a side for the owner to live in and sides to either rent out or have an in-law live in for safety and care. The Two Blue (500-03) is just such a unit. While each side is a mirror of the other, they provide an excellent use of space and give each family a three-bedroom home with a "great room" out of the living and dining room areas. Each unit has 1,144 square feet of living area.

The exterior of the Two Blue is very contemporary and clean looking. The garages are in the front, absorbing the noise from the street, while the master suites and other bedrooms all run along the outside walls away from the other living unit.

There is a covered walk up to the front doors. Facing the kitchen, there is divider wall between bedroom three and the kitchen. This would work well for younger kids, as they would be away from the living room and the noise of the TV, but close to the kitchen and Mom.

Another unique feature of this duplex are the two bathrooms. One is situated between the two bedrooms and convenient for use by guests. The second bath is connected to the master suite. It is at the rear of the suite and has a single sink, extra counter, and a tub. There is a wall closet on the opposite wall of the suite.

Each unit of the duplex has its own utility room with a door opening off the entry. It has been incorporated into the garage, but is a step higher than the main floor of the garage.

To be sure there is plenty of light in unit, a skylight over the living room as been added. This bathes the rooms in extra light on those gloomy winter days.
