Stone Cottage has beautiful features

A side hill slope is needed for the split-level Stone Cottage (00-040). This beautiful ranch home has accented arched windows, porch railings, and a covered porch. This 1,662 square foot home would look ideal in a wooded setting or on the coast, near the ocean.

Vaulted, the enormous great room with a corner fireplace and numerous large windows provides a welcome look for visitors. In the front could be a formal living room while there is plenty of room at the rear of the great room for a dining room. Sliding glass doors near the fireplace open onto a large deck.

The C-shaped kitchen sets in the front, overlooking the covered porch.

The sleeping area is up a half flight of stairs. All three bedrooms are vaulted. A full bath with a tub is located adjacent to the master bath. The master suite has a large walk-in closet and full master bath, complete with a tub and shower, and "his and her" sinks. A large window near the tub bathes the room in light.

The lower floor contains the two-car garage along with the family room and the utility area. The garage has a workbench with a sink for washing hands after working on the car or working in the garden. It is also an ideal area for the hobbyist. There is a storage cabinet to one side that has the pantry, which opens in the kitchen, over it.

The family room has three large windows with a sliding glass door to the patio. An optional hot tub has been shown on the patio. There is a large built-in shelf on one wall of the family room. For convenience, a door from the patio goes directly into the full bath with shower, as well as a pocket door opening into the utility room. This makes it easy to put wet towels into the washer once the family is done with the hot tub. There is also a door from the utility opening into the family room.

This split-level home has many extras that make it desirable. Vaulting has been used to provide spaciousness as well as making the rooms large and open.
