Serena a compact, but spacious home

The Serena (406-51) was designed to accommodate the family that needs a compact four-bedroom home. The Serena is 1,853 square feet of spacious living with two and a half baths and many other amenities. The exterior has two dormers, a covered porch, and classic windows with shutters for the ranch-style look.

The entry area faces the vaulted living room. The openness of the living room, directly into the kitchen area would allow a formal dining area between, if that were desired. The actual dining area, on the backside of the home, could be used for regular family dinners.

The corner kitchen is unique in its layout. It has a raised dishwasher, making it easier to load and unload. The pantry is tucked back in the corner, out of the way, yet handy to the kitchen. There is a half bath in this same area, centrally located to entire main floor.

There is a built-in corner hutch in the dining area, next to the utility room. With the main amount of the bedrooms upstairs, a laundry chute has been installed for convenience. There are storage cabinets up out of reach for the safe chemical storage or as a useful linen closet for downstairs.

The master suite is very large with many amenities for Mom and Dad such as a corner fireplace and an entertainment center. The bath has a shower and a single sink. The great use of pocket doors in this suite allows maximum use of available space. Across a small hall is the large walk-in closet and a door to the back deck with an optional spa behind the privacy wall.

Opposite the entry are stairs to the three bedrooms on the second floor. A full bath, with a single sink, a tub, laundry chute, and a linen closet, is on the left and the doors to the three bedrooms open off the balance of the hall. Each bedroom is a different size and shape, with large wall closets, and numerous windows. Bedroom 2 has a corner window that would be ideal for a built-in desk for the young student.
