Farm Survey

Mix of brick, wood adds to Rutledge's look

The Rutledge (405-18) has the look of a farmhouse with its two stories and full covered porch in the front. It has large windows, some with decorative shutters. The mix of brick and wood adds to the look and feel of the facade. To the right side of the home is a two-car garage that runs the full length of the right side. It would be easy to make this a side entrance with the possibility of being three-car if needed.

Once inside the Rutledge, stairs to the second floor are on the right and the living room is on the left. This area of the living room is designed to be a formal room, separated from the family room by walls. It is meant for entertaining. Across the hall is a den, or guest room as there is a full bath attached. The bath has two access doors; one from the den and one near the kitchen (adajacent to the door from the garage).

The kitchen is open with an island in the middle. A walk-in pantry is on the opposite wall, convenient both to the kitchen and the garage for unloading groceries. In the garage are the washer, dryer, and freezer along with a sink, water heater, and froced air unit.

The family room is large with sliding doors opening onto the covered patio. A corner gas fireplace keeps the room warm and cozy in the winter. A bay-windowed nook is ideal for having your morning coffee and reading the newspaper.

The master suite is valuted with windows on two sides. An elongated walk-in closet provides lots of room for his and her clothes. The master bath is next to bedroom two and has a tub, linen closet, and dual sinks. For more linen storage, there is also a linen closet in the hallway.

The Rutledge with 2,096 square feet of living space has been well laid out. It would be ideal for the growing family.
