Nebraska's facade gives it curb appeal

Stately columns and brick facing impart a solid permanence and attractive curb appeal to the 2,499 square foot Nebraska (334-240).

A covered front porch leads you into the vaulted entry. To the left is a built-in armoire; to the right is a huge vaulted family room. Here a combination gas/wood stove warms the entire room. A built-in entertainment center will provide hours of enjoyment for friends and family. Sliding glass doors open to a large patio, a perfect place for summer barbecues. An L-shaped hallway guides you to two good-sized bedrooms. Each has a walk-in closet, vanity and plenty of windows. A full bathroom and linen storage are nearby.

The right rear corner of this remarkable plan houses the luxurious, isolated master suite. Here the many elegant features include a sitting room with window seat, vast walk-in closet, private covered porch and spacious bathroom with spa, compartmentalized toilet, linen storage, twin basins and glass block shower with built-in bench. Abutting the master suite is a small home office. Here you can finish work that is brought home or use it to keep track of household accounts on your personal computer.

The large U-shaped kitchen will surely please. Features include a cooktop grill, double ovens and appliance center. Meals can either be served in the adjoining breakfast nook or in the vaulted dining room, complete with built-in buffet.

One convenient feature that you will be glad to have is the utility room located just off the kitchen. Here you have a pantry, washer/dryer, freezer and double sink. An added advantage is the covered porch separating the utility room/kitchen from the two-car garage. This handy arrangement allows you to bring groceries into the house without regard to the weather. A recycling center and planter box are on the porch.

For further development, an unfinished basement offers an additional 1,476 square feet and 524 square feet of attic space are available for extra storage.
