Monika has more bang for the buck

The Monika (407-05) is a large sized house plan that delivers more for your building dollar. This 3,324 square foot beauty is ideal for a large family that needs a more manageable, roomy floor design.

The large three-car garage not only has a side door, but direct access to the house through the utility room, using a covered breezeway. This is an added advantage for bringing the groceries in from the car. The utility room houses the washer/dryer, has room for a freezer, and contains a good-sized storage bin along with the laundry chute. The location of the utility room allows the active people to have access to the home without walking through carpeting with muddy shoes, wet umbrellas, or the dripping pet.

There are three bedrooms upstairs in this floor plan. Each has a nice view window and adequate closet space along with vaulted ceilings. One bedroom has its own bathroom, while the other two share a common bathroom. There is a storage area along with the laundry chute off the fourth bedroom. For the family with children in school or for the computer buff.

The walk-through kitchen adds to the totally open effect emphasized throughout the home. The kitchen has all the build-in appliances, plus a pantry. A large family room is off the kitchen giving this area the feel of a great room with all its openness. Three skylights located around the family room and the sun nook enhances lighting in this area. Sliding doors off the sun nook area gives access to the back .

Adjoining the kitchen is the vaulted dining room. This arrangement allows meals to be served without delay. As the room is very deep, there is plenty of area for a formal dining set.

The vaulted front entry takes you into the generous, vaulted living room for formal or informal entertainment of your guests. A wide front window admits a splendid view. There is also a vaulted swing room that can be used for a number of purposes such as a den, a library, or a parlor.

The isolated master suite completes this floor design. Occupying the entire left side of the home, this appealing suite features abundant closet space, separate vanity, linen storage and gives you both a shower and a spa tub.
