Well-proportioned Marquardt ideal for small lots

The Marquardt (405-35), with all three bedrooms on the second floor, is perfect for the young family. The well-proportioned 1,737 square feet of living space offers many angles as well as a unique openness. The home has ideal dimensions for a smaller lot, where space is essential.

This two-story home has many amenities such as a large rear deck and an enormous two-car garage with a shop area. As part of the garage area, the utility room is situated to provide a large area that does not take away from the actual living space.

The L-shaped kitchen of the Marquardt is open with a centrally located eating bar. A breakfast nook faces the deck and has sliding doors to the outside. A corner pantry is incorporated within the area of the stairs to the upper floor. The dining room also has sliding doors to the deck, along with a huge window.

The living room is set apart, ideal for entertaining or for those quiet evenings. There is a fireplace on the rear wall, surrounded by many windows along with a bay window.

As you ascend the stairs, there is a storage closet half way up. Once you have reached the second floor, there are two bedrooms to the left with walk-in closets. The larger of the two rooms has a dormer window that would be perfect for a desk (computer area).

The full bath is located adjacent to the master suite at the head of the stairs. A large window lights the master suite. The placement of the large walk-in closet and the full master bath provides a sound barrier from the rest of the home. The main portion of the suite extends above the dining/kitchen area, and outside next to the storage area is open to the entry below.

This home, while extremely functional, provides a modern look with very little wasted space. It makes the ideal starter home, as it is medium sized and well designed.
