Amenities make Lolita very comfortable

The solid brick exterior of the Lolita (403-50) indicates a durability that is the desire of any potential homeowner. While the attractive style of this 3,421 square foot beauty is certainly an excellent selling point, the innovative interior design has all the amenities for comfortable living.

A welcoming skylit entry leads directly into a huge great room. This central gathering spot gives you plenty of space for entertaining friends and family. A fireplace, with a shelf on either side, warms the entire area. The rear of the great room is designated for dining. The convenience of the adjacent kitchen is a design feature that the cook in the family will appreciate. The kitchen includes a small breakfast nook with a built-in desk. A sliding glass door opens from the nook into a wide screened-in porch.

The master suite not only has a spacious sleeping area, it boasts a large walk-in closet with pull-down steps to the attic and a private bathroom with spa tub. There is also a private deck that abuts a common sunroom.

The family theater is one room that will see a lot of use. A built-in entertainment center will provide hours of fun. A handy storage closet is included. Next to the theater is a modest den with built-in bookshelves. This is a good site to savor some quiet time.

Completing the lower level is a good-sized utility room that can also be entered from the two-car garage. In addition to being a safety factor this configuration allows you to stay dry while unloading groceries. A row of handsome semi-circular planters graces the right side of the Lolita.

The 888 square foot second floor has two large bedrooms that are actually mini-suites. Entered separately from the landing at the top of the stairs, they share a center bathroom. Each room has ample closet space and a washbasin. The back bedroom has the advantage of a big covered porch. What a great spot to spend a summer evening enjoying the view from this two-story vantage point.
