Hollister's looks are deceiving

Sometimes looks are deceiving. The Hollister (D8553) appears from the facade to be a huge two-story home. Instead it is a narrow home with 1,575 square feet of living area on two floors as well as an unfinished storage (bonus) area of 353 square feet and an optional unfinished basement of 787 square feet. The southern colonial look makes this home seem opulent.

Passing through the two columns on the covered porch one enters into the large family room with a coat closet and the stairs to the second floor as well as the basement on the right. Two big windows bathe the room with sunlight and the fireplace on the rear wall will supply warmth in the winter.

The "L" shaped kitchen runs from the center of the main floor to the rear wall. It has a walk-in pantry in the middle of the cabinets and built-in desk at the end. There is a window over the double sink and one over the desk. Patio doors open off the nook onto a deck in the rear.

The utility is in the right rear corner with a washer and dryer, large sink and cabinets. Across from the utility is a half bath. Between the two is a door that opens into the two-car garage.

Upstairs are three bedrooms. Bedrooms two and three each have a wall closet. There is a full bath adjacent to the rooms with a tub and single sink. Just beyond the bathroom is a door to an unfinished 353 square foot storage area. This could potentially be future bedrooms or a play area for the kids. A linen closet and built-in desk are also in hall area.

The master suite has three windows on the end of the main suite with a walk-in closet on the left front corner. The master bath has "his and her" sinks, an oversized tub, and large shower. It is very open and easily accessed.
