Fern View's rustic features give it appeal

The extraordinary Fern View (408-29) is a ranch-styled home with a huge walk-around covered porch. Half-moon windows accent the facade, and the arches on the covered porch further the look. The combination of shakes, wood siding and brick provides the rustic appearance and furthers the rare qualities of the Fern View.

Doors open through the deck into the mechanical room with a storage room behind. Two water heaters for this large home as well as the forced air unit are in this room.

French doors open to a vaulted entry lined with windows in this 4,673-square-foot home. Across from the entry is a private office, also behind French doors, lined with built-in cabinets and shelves.

Entering the main part of the home, the kitchen and dining room is on the left. The cabinets in the kitchen wrap around the center island, making the area cozy and comfortable. An eating bar separates the dining room from the kitchen. Sliding doors open onto the covered deck/porch in the rear.

An elegant archway opens into the vaulted great room. Overhead is a balcony held up with pillars strategically placed. Windows line the great room with a sliding glass door opening onto the porch. On the right side of this superb room is a fireplace with a rock hearth. At the rear of the great room is the utility room, easily accessible to the master bedroom.

The master suite is the only bedroom downstairs. It has an elongated master bath behind a pocket door. A corner walk-in closet, a shower, a vanity, his and her sinks, as well as a spa tub and a linen closet make this area totally unique.

Upstairs is a huge balcony, with two bedrooms, each with a bath. Each bedroom has large windows on the end, attic storage on the sides, and slanted ceilings. Bedroom 2 has two large wall closets, and the entry to this bath is in the hallway. Bedroom 3 has one large wall closet and the entry to this bathroom is private to this bedroom.
