Outgoing facade pulls guests into the Howard

Arched windows in the conical shaped face of the Howard (406-64-THP67) adds an attractive facade to this contemporary home. Various rooflines add to the unique look, as does the separated three-car garage.

The vaulted entry is past the diminutive covered porch. To the right is the formal living and dining rooms. Oversized windows bathe the formal living room in light. French doors enhance the formal dining room, adding a touch of elegance. On the left side is a pocket door that allows privacy from the kitchen beyond.

The C-shape of the kitchen provides a great amount of counter and cabinet space, as well as having a built-in dishwasher. An eating bar runs along the left side of the counter, facing the family room, while a pantry is on the wall opposite. For those morning cups of coffee, a bay-windowed nook is in the rear overlooking the deck.

The large family room has an entertainment center on the back wall, a half bath in front as well as the utility room and a door opening into the three-car garage. Behind the family room in the rear of the Howard is the master suite. It has a coffered ceiling with an enormous walk-in closet. The master bath has a step-up to the shower and tub, as well as having dual sinks and its own linen closet.

The sweeping angular stairs have beautiful long arched windows to light the treads. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a bathroom, and recreation room. The set-up of the bedrooms is unique. Bedroom 2 is by itself next to the bathroom. Bedroom three and four are adjacent to the recreation room with open doorways straight into the recreation room from both bedrooms. It is a different arrangement than is normal. In the hall is a large linen closet and a storage area.

The Howard has 3,164 square feet of great living space. The home has dimensions that would fit on most lots and allow the family home to be slightly larger in a more compact area. With lot sizes being so restricted, this can definitely be a consideration.
