Dieterle's features give it curb appeal

Skylights, windows and an enormous colonial styled porch accent the front of the Dieterle (405-44). The three-car garage is angled and adds an accent to the facade of this home. A half moon window over the garage doors enhances the eye appeal from the street.

Crossing the majestic covered porch, the foyer is separated from the rooms on each side by walls. On the left is a half wall providing the visitor with a look into a den with three skylights bathing the room in light. Across from the den is a storage closet and a closet that contains the water heater.

Beyond the den is the master suite, lined with windows and a patio door that opens onto the large deck and concrete patio in the rear. Just inside the door to the left is a huge walk-in closet, and adjacent to it is the master bath with dual sinks, a skylight, a large spa tub, and a shower with glass block between it and the spa tub. The stool is tucked back and a linen closet is on one wall and a built-in desk is beyond.

Directly forward from the front door is the living room. It has large windows in the rear with two patio doors opening onto the deck in the rear. On the left wall is a gas fireplace and a bookshelf. This large open room has a vaulted ceiling providing an even more spacious feeling.

The right rear of the Dieterle is one huge kitchen. There is an eating bar facing the living room, a center island that contains a gas range, and a “mile” of counter space. In the bayed area is a built-in eating booth. A hutch is on the front wall for displaying special dishes and glassware.

A large guest room is adjacent to the entry. There is access to a full bath with a shower, which can also be accessed through another door for use by the family. Across the hall are two large storage areas and a door that opens into a foyer with a door to the backyard and stairs down to the three-car garage. A long workbench runs across the back of the garage and is ideal as a shop.

The final room inside this unique home is the utility room. It has a long folding counter, a sink, and a built-in ironing board. It allows plenty of area to complete the laundry.
