Practical Blueberry has added features

With the garage on the side bringing the length to 62', it will take a longer, rather than a deeper; lot to build the 1,224 square foot Blueberry (404-09). An advantage to having the garage in this position is the convenient access directly into the kitchen. Not only is this a great safety feature, it allows you to unload groceries immediately into the house no matter what the weather. A utility area at the rear of the garage lets you discard soiled clothing before entering.

The attractive wood siding, shake roof, shuttered windows, and covered porch with railing, all add up to an impressive sight when friends and family come to visit. As nice as this beautiful, exterior is, the interior floor design is not only equally as beautiful, but extremely functional as well. To the right of the entry, is the spacious, vaulted living room. This large area will serve as the main gathering place for family activities and entertaining guests. The sweeping front window presents an unobstructed view of the front landscape.

To the left of the entry, facing front, are two identical bedrooms, each with a view window and plenty of closet space. For families with children at home, these rooms are close enough to the master suite for parents to feel secure, while maintaining their privacy. If the kids have left the nest, you can do a lot of different things with these spaces. Maybe a guest room, home office or television room. It's up to you. The generous master suite is well placed and has amenities that include a huge walk-in closet, private bathroom and vanity. In the hallway separating the master suite and front bedrooms are a full bathroom and linen storage.

The walk-in kitchen is situated next to the vaulted dining room. This arrangement makes it easy for the cook in the house to prepare and serve meals. When the sun is out, fire up the barbecue on the back patio and invite the whole gang over.
