Berrett's facade makes it special

Shuttered windows and the many rooflines accented with brick and wood provides the Berrett (D5148) with a beautiful facade. Three of the windows on the right that face the front provide a disguise for the garage and the unfinished storage area over the garage.

A covered porch provides protection for the entry to this 2,339 square foot home. On the left of the door is the dining room with a study on the right. Stairs to the second floor and unfinished basement are directly in front of the door with a large, vaulted great room beyond.

The dining room is very open and could be used as a formal living room if one did not want a dining room. There is a half bath on the right as one goes towards the kitchen. The kitchen is very open with counterspace running around the wall in a "U" shape. It has a pantry and a built-in desk on the front wall. In the middle of the open kitchen is an island that has a circular eating bar. A nook with sliding doors to the backyard is between the kitchen and the great room.

An 18-foot ceiling increases the spaciousness of the great room. On the rear wall is a fireplace with windows on each side. The area from the great room, the nook, and the kitchen is so open; it makes a wonderful area for a family gathering or for entertaining friends.

Off to the left is the master suite. A small alcove protects the French door entry into a large, open room. Smaller French doors lead into a master bath with "his and her" sinks, a large spa tub, and a private area for the shower and toilet. Straight through is a very large walk-in closet, ideally designed for a large amount of clothes.

Upstairs are three other bedrooms. Each bedroom has a large window and wall closets. The full bath, adjacent to the unfinished storage room, has a tub and dual sinks. The unfinished storage area has 293 square feet and would be ideal as a playroom, or a game room, or even an area for the kids to plan and study or use computers.
