Heath Brunch Coffee Cake

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 Heath bars
1/4 cup pecans or almonds, chopped










Directions: Blend butter, flour, brown sugar and white sugar. Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture. To the rest add buttermilk, baking soda, egg and vanilla, blend well. Pour into a greased and floured 9X13 inch pan. Crush Heath bars with pecans or almonds, add to the 1/2 cup reserved mixture. Sprinkle over the top of batter. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Notes: I have a Sunday brunch often and this coffee cake is one of our favorites.
