Cinnamon Swirls

Ingredients:
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup peanut oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 package yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 egg, beaten
3 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar










Directions: Scald milk, stir in sugar, salt and oil. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water in bowl, stir in milk mixture, beaten egg and 1/2 the flour to form a soft dough. Knead until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, grease top, cover and let rise until double in bulk. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon, set aside. Punch dough down on a lightly floured board, divide dough in half. Roll each half into a 9X14 inch rectangle. Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Roll tightly to form 9 rolls. Seal edges, let rise a few minutes. Deep fry in oil at 375°F for 2 to 3 minutes. Makes 18 rolls.

Notes: These rolls are delicious with a cup of coffee. My family enjoys the great sugar and cinnamon taste.
