Cheese Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 ( 8 oz. ) package cream cheese
1/2 cup margarine
4 eggs
1 ( 16 oz. ) can pumpkin
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
3 1/2 cups flour
1 cup nuts, chopped








Directions: Combine sugar, cream cheese and margarine. Mix at medium speed until blended. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Blend in pumpkin. Combine baking soda, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, cloves and flour. Add to pumpkin mixture and stir just until moistened. Fold in nuts. Pour into greased and floured 5X9 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Insert wooden toothpick to check center for doneness. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pans. Makes 2 loaves.
