Toffee Coffee Cake

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup white sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 (1 stick) cup butter
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 (12 oz.) package toffee bites
1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional)









Directions: Grease or spray 9x13 inch pan. Mix white sugar and brown sugar in a bowl. Sift flour, soda and salt, mix well.Cut in butter. Set aside 1/2 of mixture. To the remaining mixture add buttermilk, egg and vanilla. Beat well and turn into pan. Combine the reserved mix with candy and nuts. Sprinkle over the batter. Bake at 350°F 30 to 35 minutes.

Notes: Out of this world.
