Chocolate Mocha Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients:
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup sifted flour
2 tsp Baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1 square Baker's chocolate
2 Tablespoon Butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
3 Tablespoons cocoa
8 ounces (liquid) cold, black coffee








Directions: Mix the 3/4 cup white sugar, flour, baking powder and salt together. Then melt the chocolate and butter together and and stir into the mix. Add your milk and vanilla and mix to the consistency of a good cake batter. Place the batter into a 8"x8" or 9"x9" greased baking pan, dusted with cocoa. The remaining ingredients are for the topping. Mix the brown sugar, the 1/2 cup white sugar and 3 Tsp. cocoa together well and sprinkle evenly over the batter. Then take the cold coffee and slowly pour it over the topping. The liquid will be on the top when you put it in the oven. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Cool, cut into squares, and serve upside down so the chocolate sauce is on top.,This is a old family recipe handed down to me from my mother, and her mother before her. When I left home to strike out on my own, it was one of the things I just couldn't leave without. It is absolutely wonderful when served with a topping of real whipped cream or ice cream.
