Soft Sugar Cookie

Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 sticks softened margarine or oleo
3 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter





Directions: In a large bowl blend flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder and cream of tartar. Then set aside. In another large bowl mix eggs, vegetable oil, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla and margarine. Beat on high speed until smooth and creamy. Add the first dry mixture to this and mix well. Roll into small balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Lightly flatten with a greased glassed dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. Makes 6 to 7 dozen. ICING: Mix reamaining 4 ingredients, beat until creamy. Add food coloring if desired.
