Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup butter or margarine
4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
6 tablespoons milk




Directions: Heat oven to 400°F. Grease and flour 15x10 inch jellyroll pan. In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, soda and cinnamon. In small saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil, stir into sugar mixture. Whisk in buttermilk (sour milk), eggs and vanilla until thoroughly blended. Pour batter into prepared pan (batter will be thin). Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Prepare frosting in a large bowl, combine sugar and walnuts. In small saucepan, bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil. Stir into sugar mixture, blend thoroughly. Stir in vanilla. Spread on warm cake. Let cool, then cut into 24 pieces. Makes 24 servings.
