Lasagne

Ingredients:
1-1/2 - 2 lbs. sausage
1/2 teaspoon instant garlic,minced
1 tablespoon whole basil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 qt. tomatoes, cut-up
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
10 lasagne noodles
2 eggs
3 cups ricotta or cottage cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced thin or grated (about 3 to 4 cups)




Directions: Brown meat slowly, spoon off excess fat. Add garlic, basil, Italian dressing, sugar, salt, tomatoes, tomato paste and noodles. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in large amount of boiling salted water until tender, drain and rinse. Beat eggs, add ricotta or cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt and pepper. Layer half of the noodles in 13x9x2 inch baking dish, spread with half the ricotta filling, add half the Mozzarella cheese and half the meat sauce. Repeat. Bake at 375°F about 30 minutes.Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 8 to 10.
