Aunt Cleo's Ice Box Pecan Wafers (1934)

Ingredients:
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 lb. butter
3 eggs
3-3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup pecans pieces














Directions: Cream together the brown sugar and butter in large mixer bowl. Add eggs and beat. Add flour and soda sifted together, then pecans. After mixing, make dough into rolls (2 or 3 about 8 inches long). Wrap rolls in foil and chill. Slice thin and bake on cookie sheet until firm but not brown. Bake at 350°F as needed, dough will keep months in refrigerator.
