Cinnamon Bars

Ingredients:
1-1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda








Directions: Mix together the sugar, brown sugar and flour. Cut in the butter. To 2 cups of this add the chopped pecans and coconut and press it into a 9 x 13 pan. Beat together the remaining ingredients and add the remaining flour mixture. Spread over the first layer and bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes. When cool, drizzle with powdered sugar icing.
