2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion
1 clove garlic, minced
3/4 cup water
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
2 heaping tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dried mustard, ground
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon seasoning salt (optional)
Directions: Saute onions and garlic in butter until clear.
Stir in ketchup and water. Add vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, dried mustard, pepper and seasoning salt. Cover with a lid jar or screen. Simmer 1/2 hour. Stir frequently.
Notes: Use as a side sauce or to baste grilled meat during last 10 minutes of cooking.
