Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 finely chopped onion
1 stalk finely chopped celery
1 can chicken broth
1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
2 (heaping) tablespoons flour
1 head finely chopped broccoli
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions: Cook onion and celery in butter until soft in large soup kettle. Add flour. Brown lightly. Add broth and milk, garlic powder and broccoli. Slowly bring to a boil until broccoli is cooked and broth is thickened to creamy texture.
