Grandma Rose's & Grandma Maurer's Meat Dish

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, diced
1 cup celery, cut fine
2 green peppers (optional)
1 (large) can bean sprouts, drained
1 (small) can peas, drained
1 can mushroom pieces, with juice
1 (large) can chow mein noodles
1 cup mushroom soup
2 teaspoons soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 can Spam, or any canned like meat








Directions: Saute onion, celery and green pepper in butter for 5 minutes. In a larger bowl, dice Spam in small squares. Add peas, mushrooms with juice. Add the bean sprouts and chow mein noodles. Add mushroom soup and sauteed vegetables. Mix well. Add seasonings. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Notes: This family favorite is a great "tailgate" traveler and a frequent part of potluck dinners.
