Grandma's Orange Caramel Candies

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
2 cups light syrup
1 can frozen orange juice
1/2 cup butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup heavy cream














Directions: Mix sugar, salt, syrup and orange juice. Boil to firm ball stage. Add butter and cream slowly, so it does not stop boiling. Keep stirring. Bring to hard ball stage. Place waxed paper in jelly roll pan over the edges. Grease paper with butter. Pour candy mixture onto pan and allow it to cool. When completely cooled, cut into bite-sized squares and wrap individually in plastic wrap.

Notes: This candy was my favorite Christmas treat from my Grandma Dorothy.
