Young artists from across the country created their rendition of "Christmas in the Country" for the 2008 High Plains/Midwest Ag Journal Christmas Card Contest.

Using various mediums—from watercolor paint to crayon, marker to colored pencil—children of all ages filled the Journal mailbox with their colorful creations. From the abundance of artistic talent evident in the 510 entries received, Cindy Kropf, Sedalia, Mo., is the grand prize winner. Cindy wins $250 and her artwork will be featured on the cover of the Journal Christmas Card. Category winners, Shealy Davis (Age 11-15), Jack Warner (Age 7-10), and Ty Unger (Age 6 & Under), are awarded $100 each.
