Equifest of Kansas set Feb. 14 to 16

Horse enthusiasts from all over will gather for EquiFest of Kansas in the Kansas Pavilions near Park City, Kan., Feb. 14 to 16.

Everyone is invited to come enjoy equine entertainment, top-notch clinicians, lectures and workshops; plus limitless shopping in a building full of trade show booths, trucks and trailers

Since its debut 17 years ago in 1998 EquiFest has become the premier equine event in Kansas catering to all breeds and disciplines.

This year’s featured clinicians include: a return appearance by Australian Horseman, entertainer and bush poet, Guy McLean; Kansas’ own expert horseman, Kerry Kuhn; world famous “Cowboy Dressage” clinician, Eitan Beth-Halachmy; and Hunter/Jumper Clinician, Joey Brumbaugh.

Organizers are expecting 15,000 spectators to attend this year’s event. Our vendor booth space is filling fast making a trade show second to none.

The 2014 theme is “Alternative Activities you can enjoy with your horse.” There will be demonstrations of cowboy polo, horse soccer and camp drafting.

Kansas Extension/EquiFest of Kansas Horse Judging Contest will also take place, officiated by Cloud County Community College. Cloud County Community College students will also be managing the wonderfully popular Kids Corral from noon to 4 p.m., each day.

Additional entertainment includes the Battle of the Breeds, the Feb. 14 Cowboy Drag Race and the Ranch Rodeo on Feb. 15.

Doors open Feb. 14 at 9 a.m., Feb. 15 and 16 at 8 a.m. Doors close following the evening entertainment on Feb. 14 and 15 and the show ends at 5 p.m., Feb. 16.

EquiFest 2014 is going to be a can’t miss event. Come out and show support for the equine industry, Feb. 14, 15 and 16. For complete information or to order tickets visit or call the Kansas Horse Council at 785-776-0662.
