Pratt 3 p.m. livestock sales report

The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., on April 3, reported estimated receipts of 6,500 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, heifers weighing 600 to 950 pounds were firm to $5 higher. There were not enough steers sold as of 3 p.m. for a market test. The trade was active and the demand was good.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1 600 to 650 lbs., 172.00 to 178.00, 10 head, thin fleshed 635 lbs., 183.00, replacements 190.00 to 195.00; 650 to 700 lbs., 173.00 to 177.00, replacements 182.00 to 186.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 170.50 to 175.75; 750 to 800 lbs., 163.00 to 167.60; 800 to 850 lbs., 157.00 to 162.50; 850 to 900 lbs., 152.25 to 154.25, 50 head, replacements 894 lbs., 159.25; 22 head, 900 lbs., 152.25, 50 head, replacements 903 lbs., 159.00.
