Grain bids mixed, soybeans lower


Grain bids were mixed with soybeans trading lower, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Sept. 10.

Corn and soybeans saw support from slightly lower crop ratings and weak cash market. Hot and dry conditions continue across the Corn Belt with a cool down later in the week.

Wheat was 9 cents lower to 27 cents higher. Corn was 14 cents lower to 5 cents higher. Sorghum was 9 to 45 cents higher. Soybeans were 1 to 21 cents lower.

In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $6.94 3/4, up 6 1/4 cents.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $6.94 3/4, up 6 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $7.60 3/4, down 2 cents; Portland, $7.25 to $7.45, up 10 to 8 3/4 cents; St. Louis, $6.21, up 5 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $5.44, down 9 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $4.80, up 5 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $4.50 to $4.99, up 5 1/2 to down 14 1/2 cents; Omaha, $5.29 to $5.34, down 10 cents.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $14.05, down 11 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $13.47, down 1 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $13.57 to $14.42, down 6 1/2 to 2 cents; central Illinois processors, $14.80 to $14.90, down 1 1/2 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Sept. 10, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $7.80 3/4 to $8.14 3/4, up 6 1/4 cents; 12% protein, $8.04 3/4 to $8.14 3/4, up 6 1/4 cents; 13% protein, $8.04 3/4 to $8.10 3/4, up 6 1/4 to 8 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $8.09 3/4 to $8.19 3/4, up 8 1/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was $4.98 to $5.05, unchanged.
