Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report

The Pratt Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Pratt, Kan., on Oct. 24, reported estimated receipts of 1,700 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan.

Compared with last week, steers weighing 750 to 850 pounds were steady to $2 lower and those weighing 850 to 900 pounds were $2 higher on a limited supply of medium and large frame No 1. There were not enough medium and large frame No. 1s for a market test of feeder heifers. There were not enough steers and heifers weighing 650 pounds and under for a market test.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 750 to 800 lbs., 171.50 to 172.60; 800 to 850 lbs., 160.50 to 162.75; 850 to 900 lbs., 161.10 to 163.50; 900 to 950 lbs., 152.00 to 155.00.
