Extension to hold Row Crop Fall Update Nov. 12

Sedgwick County Extension Education Center, 7001 W 21st N, Wichita, will hold a Row Crop Fall Update meeting Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by K-State Research & Extension, Sedgwick County Extension and local seed representatives.

This meeting gives the producer an update on sorghum, corn, and bean crops. There will be several speakers: Tesfaye Tesso, K-State sorghum breeder; Ignacio Ciampitti, K-State Extension specialist; and local seed representatives.

Some of the topics to be discussed are:

Update on yield data from around the state;

What producers can expect from sorghum in the near future; and

Update on this year’s corn and bean crops.

There is no charge for this event, but we will serve dinner and need a headcount for the meal. You may register by calling 316-660-0143, or email jfees@ksu.edu.
