Western Stock Show Association announces 2014 executive committee

The Western Stock Show Association unanimously re-elected Ron Williams to continue as chairman during the annual meeting held recently at the Stadium Arena at the National Western Complex in Denver.

The announcement was made by Paul Andrews, president and chief executive officer of the National Western Stock Show and Complex.

“Ron has shown great leadership through this past year in dealing with the city and various planning groups, as well as advising on business issues in relation to the association,” Andrews said.

The WSSA board also elected the following officers: first vice president, Sue Anschutz-Rodgers; second vice president, George “Buck” Hutchison; and secretary and treasurer, Mark Gustafson.

In addition to the executive committee elections above, the board approved Guy McEndaffer as a new member of the WSSA executive committee. The position was vacated by Hank Brown who stepped off the executive committee after four years of service with the association.

“We appreciate the support and service of Hank Brown over the past four years and look forward to the insight and interaction of Guy McEndaffer,” Andrews said.

McEndaffer has been involved with the National Western Stock Show for many years as an exhibitor, volunteer and committee member. He served as the lead ethics superintendent for the junior market livestock shows. He also serves as a member of the executive livestock committee. Guy, with his wife Rose, own and operate M&M Farms in northeast Colorado that specializes in wheat and small grain production. The McEndaffers also have a registered cow/calf herd in partnership with their children. He grew up on a family ranch in New Raymer and has never strayed from his connection with agriculture.

Along with Guy and the officers, the elected executive committee members includes: Peter Coors, Don Elliman, Patrick A. Grant, Gail Klapper, Tracy Ringolsby, and Thomas H. Bradbury.
